There’s something deeply soothing about rushing river water—the way it carves through the landscape, endlessly moving, endlessly alive. Though I haven’t visited this place myself, my husband’s photos from his trip to the Washington coast captured a scene I couldn’t resist painting.
Lush, towering evergreens frame the Nisqually River as it surges over dark rocks, a force of both power and peace. The misty gray sky and deep greens create a moody, calming atmosphere—like stepping into a world untouched, where the only sound is the rhythm of the water.
