"Nisqually River" Original Art

There’s something deeply soothing about rushing river water—the way it carves through the landscape, endlessly moving, endlessly alive. Though I haven’t visited this place myself, my husband’s photos from his trip to the Washington coast captured a scene I couldn’t resist painting.

Lush, towering evergreens frame the Nisqually River as it surges over dark rocks, a force of both power and peace. The misty gray sky and deep greens create a moody, calming atmosphere—like stepping into a world untouched, where the only sound is the rhythm of the water. This piece invites you to pause, breathe deeply, and take in the crisp air, even from the comfort of your own space.
